TH E M R EP O RT | 41 Cara Hardy VP, LOSS MITIGATION AND BANKRUPTCY, STATEBRIDGE COMPANY Cara Hardy is widely recognized for the ability to improve operational efficiencies and quality while ensur- ing risks are properly assessed and addressed. She has extensive experi- ence managing multiple departments across diverse functional areas within mortgage servicing, including litiga- tion, business controls, bankruptcy, default administration, foreclosure, loss mitigation, and vendor manage- ment. She has a proven ability to lead enterprise-wide strategic change initiatives, including innovative solu- tions to new and existing challenges. She has been at Statebridge for more than three years, first as Director of Legal Services, then as AVP of Legal Operations before her current posi- tion. Hardy also previously served tenures at Specialized Loan Servicing, and Bank of America. She received a bachelor's degree in legal studies, as well as an ABA Paralegal Certificate from Hamline University and a mas- ter's in business administration from Chapman University. She has been part of the leadership team of ALFN's Women in Legal Leadership group since 2017. Elizabeth Kameen PROJECT MANAGER, FANNIE MAE Elizabeth Kameen is recognized for her strong communication, executive man- agement, and organization skills. She has received numerous awards both internal- ly and externally. She has been consecu- tively ranked at the top 5 percent of the company on performance and behav- iors. As a Project Manager at Fannie Mae, Kameen is responsible for driving leadership meetings and engagements, communications, reporting, and met- rics. She attended Bucknell University, graduating with a degree in business administration and management. After being both an intern and a member of the Campus Associates Program at Fannie Mae, Kameen looked to men- tor the incoming talent and provide development opportunities. She estab- lished the Communicating as a Leader Program in the Young Professionals Employee Resource Group, which strives to enhance Fannie Mae's workforce by encouraging young workforce retention through developing members' business- related skills and enriching mentorship opportunities for young professionals. Kameen is also an active member of her community, volunteering through the Junior League of Washington. Courtney Thompson DIRECTOR, DEFAULT OVERSIGHT AND OPERATIONS, FLAGSTAR BANK Courtney Thompson has a multi- dimensional history of effective high- risk regulatory solution management leading multiple financial institution operations teams through the re-en- gineering of their mortgage servicing people, processes, and technologies. As Director of Flagstar Bank's default servicing operations team, Thompson is responsible for consumer default assets, including default call center and the design and operation of the bank's component default servicing oversight model—including the management of the specialty servicing vendor partners who perform the front-line servicing for each of the functional areas of default, as well as Flagstar's cross-functional oversight team. During her tenure with Flagstar, the default operations team has ventured to bring industry-leading, meaningful, transparency to the default servicing lifecycle through its propri- etary data environment. After receiving her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law, Thompson litigated servicing and origination issues on behalf of many national banking institutions for a decade before joining Flagstar Bank.
