T H E U N I T E D S T A T E S over age 65 want to stay in their home for as long as possible. However, most older Americans don't have enough savings to cover retirement expenses or realize the life- style they'd imagined. According to a survey by the Insured Research Institute (IRI), only 25 percent of baby boomers believe they will have enough money in retirement. "We're building solutions to help Americans cope with this looming retire- ment issue," said Wendy Harrington, Figure CMO. "With rising interest rates, cash-out refinancing is an increasingly painful way to meet cash flow needs. For homeown- ers nearing or already in retirement, home equity may be the most important source of money they have to support retirement. By unlocking hard-earned equity with Figure Home Advantage, homeowners can aid their retirement with additional funds and less stress." Here's how Figure Home Advantage works. Figure buys the home and grants the seller(s) a lease that renews annually, putting the homeowners in charge of how long they stay. Homeowners get their proceeds in one lump sum to bolster their nest egg, cover their expenses, or fund what matters most to them. Figure takes care of the property management from there, covering property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and ongoing maintenance. E llie Mae, a cloud-based platform provider for the mortgage finance industry and SimpleNexus a digital mortgage platform that brings the home mortgage process to mobile devices have an- nounced an official integration partnership. The companies announced that the partnership would provide SimpleNexus' 180 clients and 18,000 loan officers with a fast and secure data transfer between Ellie Mae's Encompass Lending Platform and SimpleNexus' Mobile Originator tools. "We are excited to provide Encompass users with this secure and powerful integra- tion enabling the originator to do their job on-the-go, helping lenders improve relation- ships with Realtors® while getting more loans in the door," stated Matt Hansen, CEO of SimpleNexus. The direct system-to-system integration with Ellie Mae enables loan officers on the SimpleNexus platform to access to their entire loan pipeline, order credit, run pric- ing, view appraisals, and send pre-approval letters from their mobile device—all while syncing in real-time with Encompass. The companies said that their partnership would help lenders reduce costs and drive ef- ficiency in operations, improve loan officer productivity, and provide convenience and transparency to borrowers and real estate partners during the loan process. The lat- est integration delivers the fastest real-time Encompass data transfer speeds available in the industry.
