JENNIFER FOLK Planet Home Lending has hired Jennifer Folk as SVP of National Operations and Operations Support. In this role, she is responsible for creating scalable operations to support the growth of the company's distributed retail sales channel. "Jennifer has the depth of experience and the ability to develop strategies to help us to continue our growth," said Suzy Lindblom, EVP of National Operations at Planet Home Lending. "Being a lender in today's mortgage market means you have to consider new ways to reach your goals. Jennifer has a fresh perspective along with the proven capabilities to help us do that." Before joining Planet Home Lending, Folk was SVP of Strategic Planning at Eagle Home Mortgage. She also spent more than four years in operations at Stearns Lending, where she was the business lead for various technology initiatives for retail, wholesale, and all joint ventures. JOE SIEGEL Gateway Mortgage Group, LLC, an- nounced Joe Siegel as its Chief Banking Officer. In this role, Siegel is responsible for executive oversight of the company's commer- cial, consumer, and specialty lending activities in addition to retail banking services. Gateway Mortgage Group recently received approval from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to merge with Farmers Exchange Bank, based in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Before joining Gateway, Siegel was Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Everett Advisory Partners, LLC. He has worked in the banking industry for more than 35 years and has held senior leadership roles at BBVA North America and BBVA Compass, as well as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he performed within the syndicated finance, corporate lending, and wealth management arenas. Siegel's experience also extends to private banking and risk management. SERVICE PROVIDERS TIM GILLIS ServiceLink, the Pittsburgh-based national provider of transaction services to the mortgage and finance industries, has appointed Tim Gillis as VP, Capital Market Sales. Gillis is a seasoned professional in the mortgage services and origination space, with more than 25 years of industry experience. He offers expertise gained through long-stand- ing relationships with many of the top originators, aggregators, servicers, and capital providers. "We're thrilled to have Tim on our team. His extensive contacts and knowledge within the capital markets and single-family rental space add additional depth to our default sales team," said Miriam Moore, ServiceLink Division President of Default Services. "His expertise allows us to leverage our services to that marketplace." Before joining ServiceLink, Gillis held executive positions at BSI Financial Services, Aurora Loan Services, and GB Home Equity. PAMELA HUGHES PATENAUDE IEM—a tech-enabled global homeland security and disaster-management consulting firm based out of North Carolina—announced the addition of Pamela Hughes Patenaude as Senior Community Liaison, where she will serve as a senior adviser for the company's hous- ing and disaster recovery projects. Patenaude is a housing executive and public policy expert with more than 35 years' experience serving in govern- ment and nonprofit management, including at the executive manage- ment level. Most recently, Patenaude served as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she managed the day-to-day operations of the cabinet-level agency, including oversight of the Department's $52 billion budget and 7,000 employees nationwide. As IEM's Senior Community Liaison, Patenaude will provide housing policy and long-term disaster recovery expertise to help execute IEM's disaster recovery housing projects quickly and efficiently. GOVERNMENT ADOLFO MARZOL The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced the appointment of Adolfo Marzol as the agency's Principal Deputy Director. "I am very pleased that Adolfo will be joining FHFA in such an important capacity," said Mark Calabria, FHFA Director. "His depth and breadth of experience in both the private sector and government will help us maintain FHFA as a world-class regulator." Before joining FHFA, Marzol served for two years as Senior Advisor for Housing to HUD Secretary Dr. Benjamin Carson, where he advised on Federal Housing Administration and Ginnie Mae programs, as well as on housing finance reform. Marzol has also served in senior-level positions at Essent, Fannie Mae, Chase Mortgage, and Equitable Mortgage.
