P R E S E N T S HIGHLIGHTING THE WOMEN MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE INDUSTRY 2019 Keystone Award Finalists TH E M R E P O RT | 35 For the second year in a row, the annual Five Star Conference and Expo will host the Women in Housing Leadership Awards Banquet, which will include the presentation of the Keystone awards. In the world of architecture, the keystone is the final, pivotal building block of an arch or vault, distinguished by its unique size, carved stonework, and prominence in a structure. Locking all other blocks of the foundation into place, the keystone allows the structure not only to carry its own weight but also to bear the weight of adjoining structures. With this in mind, the Five Star Institute once again asked the industry to submit nominees for the annual Keystones, honoring women who exemplify characteristics that strengthen and support the business of mortgage. Finalists were then selected by a committee of industry veterans who narrowed the field to five candidates within each category. The final results will be announced live at the Five Star Conference's Women in Housing Leadership Awards Banquet, on Wednesday, September 25, at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas.
