M R EP O RT | 11 MCROWD AMY ANDERSON Wells Fargo named Amy Anderson, SVP, Social Impact Lead. Her appointment comes to strengthen the Wells Fargo Foundation Housing Affordability Philanthropy team as they continue to provide support for housing affordability solutions and innovation across the country. With more than 25 years' experi- ence in the urban planning and real estate industry over the course of her career, Anderson has participated in the development of over 2,300 affordable homes valued in excess of $500 million. Based in Los Angeles, she joins Wells Fargo after most recently serving as Chief Housing Officer for City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Reporting to Eileen Fitzgerald, Head of Housing Affordability Philanthropy, Anderson will provide strategic leadership for national philanthropic investments in change makers and transformative initiatives that expand the supply of affordable housing, especially for underserved communities. Last year, Wells Fargo provided $225 million to address community needs deepened by the economic downturn caused by the pandemic, deploying philanthropic support to nonprofits to help individuals, fami- lies, entrepreneurs, and communities with a focus on assisting racially and ethnically diverse people dispro- portionally affected by COVID-19. Funding includes support for critical needs such as housing, small business funding, and technical assistance, financial stability, and other basic services. As part of this effort, the Wells Fargo Foundation has awarded fund- ing totaling more than $80 million in grants to more than 1,600 housing intermediaries and other nonprofits which have helped keep 200,000 people housed, enabling collabora- tion between credit counselors and nonprofit rental property owners and assisting CDFI's serving rural commu- nities. Additionally, Wells Fargo and the nonprofit Enterprise Community Partners launched a $20 million hous- ing affordability challenge to uncover new, more rapid ways to increase the availability and sustainability of scal- able housing affordability solutions. In 2020, the challenge awarded six winners with grants of $2 million each to turn concepts into real housing af- fordability solutions. As CMO, Bodinaku is responsible for the strategic oversight of Amerifirst's national brand, marketing, communications, and sales support initiatives. "Peggy's experience in high- growth organizations, market innova- tion, and brand positioning makes her a perfect fit as we plan for the future," said Dave Gahm, Amerifirst Co-CEO and Co-Founder.
