M R EP O RT | 15 "Chad is that leader—and with his guidance, we are positioned to fulfill our mission and ultimately expand into other areas of the housing market." Early in the pandemic, Jampedro met Miller and Perkins while seeking a sales automation platform for his former company, GO Mortgage. Jampedro was so impressed with Bonzo that he made an investment in the company in early 2021. "Mortgage and real estate professionals deserve to lead rich and rewarding lives outside of work," Jampedro said. "Bonzo empowered my former team to do just that. So, when the opportunity arose to become CEO and help other companies build more successful teams, I had to take it." Jampedro began his career as a Loan Originator before becoming a partner in GO Mortgage and as- cended to the role of President, where he remained until April 2022. JOHN GUST Promontory MortgagePath LLC, a provider of digital mortgage and fulfillment solutions, has announced that industry veteran John Gust has joined the organization as Director of Product Management. In this role, Gust will lead the product manage- ment and user experience teams and is responsible for product strategy, planning, execution, and rollout of the company's mortgage fulfillment services and end-to-end technology solution. "Since Promontory MortgagePath's founding, our mission has been to fundamentally change the way lenders approach their businesses and simplify mort- gage fulfillment outsourcing for community banks and financial institutions, particularly those in under- served communities," said Kevin Wheeler, Managing Director of Product and Engineering at Promontory MortgagePath. "John's depth of industry experience will be a tremendous asset to us as we continuously refine our tech offerings to align with market demands and enhance the mortgage operational support we provide our community banking clients." Gust has more than 18 years of experience leading product management and digital transformation projects within the defense and mortgage industries. Prior to joining Promontory MortgagePath, he was the Chief Product Owner of Multifamily Underwriting for Freddie Mac, responsible for the product strategy, development, and delivery of all digital multifamily underwriting products. Gust also spent six years work- ing at Fannie Mae, most recently as a Senior Product Manager on the Enterprise Innovation Team, leading a public data exchange platform designed to drive new insights for the future of housing. KATHARINE LOVELAND Volly, a provider of technology and marketing services for banks and mortgage companies, has appointed Katharine Loveland as CEO. Jerry Halbrook, who has been Volly's CEO for the past three plus years, will transition to Executive Chairman. Volly is a portfolio company of New Capital Partners, an operationally focused, lower middle-market private equity firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. Loveland brings more than 15 years of mortgage technology and financial services experience in driv- ing growth across a broad portfolio of services and markets. Loveland will lead Volly's continued expan- sion in the mortgage technology market through new and innovative services backed by technology and industry expertise. Loveland most recently served as VP of Customer Success at Reggora. Prior to Reggora, she was an EVP with Accenture, where she led the Mortgage Cadence Delivery and Client Success teams. During her tenure at Accenture, she managed several teams, including Professional Services, Training, Client Success Executives, Strategic Engagement Managers, and Solution Architecture. "Kat brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong track record of building customer relationships and executing on strategic initiatives in the mortgage industry," Volly Board Member James Outland said. "We appreciate Jerry's leadership for the past three and a half years." CHERYL MESSNER Sales Boomerang has added Cheryl Messner as EVP of Customer Success and Experience, tasked to manage its customer experience departments. In her new role, Messner will define strategies to enhance Sales Boomerang's customer experience, engagement, success, and operations, as well as help the company build upon its growth from a fintech startup to the industry's leading borrower intelligence solution. Messner joined Sales Boomerang after 15 years at secondary marketing services provider Optimal Blue, a division of Black Knight, where she worked her way up the ladder. After serving as Director of Optimal Blue's client service department, she later transitioned to the product management team, where she advanced to a Director role for that department as well. Prior to her tenure at Optimal Blue, Messner worked in sales at GE Capital-owned WMC Mortgage. Messner will use her experience to inform her new role as EVP of Customer Success and Experience at Sales Boomerang, which recently announced an enhanced integration with Mortgage Coach as a platform to address both borrower conversion and retention. She will expand the two organizations' shared market influence by identifying new op- portunities for growth, streamlining operations and developing a client services structure that deepens customer relationships.
