BRIAN PHILLIPS KRISTEN JORGENSEN WFG National Title Insurance Company, a division of Portland- based Williston Financial Group (WFG), and a full-service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for commer- cial and residential transactions nation- wide, has expanded its agency footprint to include four additional western states—Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming—with the formation of the company's new Rocky Mountain Region. VP of the Rocky Mountain Area Manager Brian Phillips will head operations for the new region and share responsibility for growing the new region's title agent base with Agency Sales Representative Kristen Jorgensen. Randy Williams will serve as Underwriting Counsel for the new region. "We are thrilled to have Brian and Kristen heading our expansion into the Rocky Mountain Region," said Suzanne Tinsley, SVP Southwest and Western Regional Manager for WFG. "Brian has a long and established history of supporting agents in this region, and he knows what they need most to succeed in today's market. His wealth of title experience, industry knowledge, and relationships are exactly what we need to build this region into what WFG agents have come to expect and value. A 12-year veteran of the title indus- try, Phillips began his career litigating real estate and title insurance matters, and later, moved on to serve as under- writing counsel before transitioning into the sales and agent support side of the business. Phillips says he learned his most valuable lessons from owning a title company and experiencing first- hand the challenges and opportunities that independent title agents face on a daily basis. "I believe every problem has a solu- tion, and I sincerely appreciate and enjoy working for a company like WFG that shares my solutions-oriented philosophy and prioritizes providing programs and services that em- power independent agents to achieve maximum success," Phillips said. "I am very enthusiastic to bring all of this to WFG's new Rocky Mountain region." With more than a decade of experi- ence in virtually every facet of the title industry, Jorgensen leverages her extensive knowledge to support independent title agents, serving as a hands-on extension of their own teams and helping them grow and succeed in their daily operations. Her philosophy aligns perfectly with that of WFG as well and, in keeping with the com- pany's promise that "everything we do is because of you," she believes that her authentic relationships build trust, and trust builds meaningful partner- ships with her agents. "I am thrilled to join WFG and to offer agents the many tools available through the company's Blocks pro- gram, as these incredible resources are truly unmatched by any other under- writer in the industry," Jorgensen said. JONATHAN CORR ADAM AARONS KATY SHIELDS Polly, a provider of SaaS technology for the mortgage capital markets space, has announced that a trio of industry and technology experts have joined its Board and Advisory Council, as Jonathan Corr has joined Polly's Board of Directors, and Adam Aarons and Katy Shields also join Polly as Strategic Advisors. Aarons was the former CRO of Okta and Shields is the current Head of People at DoorDash. Corr previously served as President and CEO of Ellie Mae as part of an 18-year tenure. During this time, he took the company private with Thoma Bravo, LLC, at a valuation of approximately $3.7 billion before overseeing the sale of Ellie Mae to Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. for $11 billion. He also held sev- eral other leadership roles within the company, including SVP of Product Management, EVP, and COO, as well as Chief Strategy Officer, during which time he was integral in Ellie Mae's IPO in April 2011. Corr has dedicated his mortgage technology career to delivering a superior customer and borrower experience and is often recognized for his aim to "automate everything automatable." Corr was part of the leadership team that grew Ellie Mae from 75 people and $5 million in revenue to more than 2,000 team members and almost $1 billion in revenue. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Corr served in executive and management positions at several leading technol- ogy companies, including PeopleSoft, Inc. and Netscape Communications Corporation. "I truly believe that for any company to thrive, it must intimately understand the customer. If you can leverage that understanding to mitigate the pain they deal with and further, make them successful by solving that pain, you will grow as a business," Corr explained. "This is a core component of Polly's vision, which is why I am so excited to join Adam and the team. Polly is fundamentally transforming mortgage processes and addressing problems in a forward-thinking way—all driven by intuitive software and a unique cloud- native approach. I have always been partial to fast-growing companies that are trying to do something truly signifi- cant, and Polly certainly fits the bill. During his tenure at Okta, Aarons successfully led the sales team as CRO and grew the company from $1 million to more than $300 million in revenue. Aarons has more than two decades of experience in enterprise software and currently serves as an independent advisor, board member, and software investor. Shields currently leads the People Organization at DoorDash, where she oversees global culture and belonging, HR, recruiting, talent management, and global expansion. Throughout her career, Shields has held multiple high-impact leadership roles at VSCO, Google, and Qualcomm. "I believe every problem has a solution and I sincerely appreciate and enjoy working for a company like WFG that shares my solutions-oriented philosophy and prioritizes providing programs and services that empower independent agents to achieve maximum success." —Brian Phillips, VP of the Rocky Mountain Area Manager, WFG National Title Insurance Company
