16 | M R EP O RT SIMONA FILLARINI THINH NGUYEN Open Lending Corporation has appointed Simona Fillarini as the company's first Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and Thinh Nguyen as CIO. "I am pleased to announce the ap- pointments of Simona and Thinh to Open Lending's manage- ment team," Open Lending's CEO Keith Jezek said. "These experienced leaders comple- ment our senior and executive leader- ship teams with a wealth of expertise and skillsets that position our company well for its next stage of growth and success." In her role, Fillarini will help build an even stronger people strategy to support and expedite Open Lending's mission. She will drive company culture centered on creating a diverse and collaborative environment to unlock value and foster growth for individuals, teams, and the business. Simona brings more than 20 years of global business and HR experience across multiple industries with a strong focus on technology and innovation, ranging from her early career at GE in Italy to her more recent experi- ence leading the HR function and company's talent strategy for two growth startups. At ThoughtTrace, an AI-powered document intelli- gence software company, she was a key player in driving the company's rapid growth, ultimately leading to its successful acquisition by Thomson Reuters. Prior to ThoughtTrace, Simona built the people strategy for the hyper growth of QuVa Pharma, a life science company backed by Bain Capital. Simona previously held the position of VP of HR at BMC Software, as well as significant HR roles at Cisco Systems and Talisman Energy. Nguyen possesses a 20-year proven track record in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions to address business opportunities. As CIO, Thinh will focus on driving security, data, and infrastructure and IT operations to enhance product capabilities and efficiencies. Most recently, Thinh was CIO of Amerifirst Home Mortgage, where he oversaw all aspects of their IT department including strategy, execution and infrastructure. Previously, Thinh was the CIO of Servicing Technology for Flagstar Bank, where he directed the planning and implementation of IT initiatives across the Servicing and Customer Center organization, with a focus on cost effectiveness, efficiency, and service quality. He has also held executive IT positions at Mr. Cooper; Alcon, a Novartis Company; JPMorgan Chase; and TPG Capital, L.P. ANNE MCCAULEY Stewart Title has named Anne McCauley as its new Group SVP for the company's West region, responsible for overseeing Direct Operations in California and Arizona. "With more than 30 years of title and escrow operations and strategy experience, Anne is a great fit to lead and grow our California and Arizona operations," said Steve Lessack, Group President, Direct Operations for Stewart Title. "As we continue to focus on customer service and expec- tations, Anne brings a tremendous amount of regional expertise, innova- tive success and solid relationships in these growing markets." Prior to joining Stewart, McCauley spent the past 16 years at First American Title, where she previ- ously held the role of SVP, Director of Strategic Growth and Expansion. She has held numerous leadership roles across that company, including State Manager, SVP of Operations, and co-founded Endpoint Closing, their first digital title and escrow division, serving as the COO. "Stewart is in a great position to grow in California and Arizona," McCauley said. "In my title career, I have held nearly every position and know what our customers expect of us. I'm excited to start collaborating with the solid teams already in place and begin working together on creat- ing a strategic path forward, enhanc- ing our services and brand in these pivotal markets." CARRIE WHEELER ERIC WU Opendoor Technologies Inc., an e-commerce platform for residential real estate transactions, has announced changes to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors, including the appointment of CFO Carrie Wheeler as CEO, and the transition of Eric Wu to a new role as President, Marketplace. Wheeler will join the Board, and Wu will continue to serve as a member of the Board. John Rice, who has served on the Opendoor Board since 2021, has been appointed Lead Independent Director. In connection with these changes, Opendoor has expanded the size of its Board to nine directors. "I am honored to have the opportu- nity to lead Opendoor as we transform the way to buy and sell real estate," Wheeler said. "We've built a solid financial foundation with a strong bal- ance sheet and liquidity position that sets us up to not just manage through this current housing cycle but emerge stronger with market leadership. We will be focused on continuing to drive operational excellence, enhancing our unit economics, and delivering a best-in-class customer experi- ence. Furthermore, we are excited to continue to innovate and empower Eric to drive the development of our third-party marketplace." Wheeler served as CFO of Opendoor for the last two years and as a member of the company's board prior to that. She brings deep financial acumen and operating insight to her role, coupled with her 25 years in private equity and board experience across numerous consumer compa- nies. In her new role, Wheeler will work closely with the board and manage- ment team to execute Opendoor's mission to build the largest, most trust- ed platform for residential real estate. Wu added, "Over several years, I built conviction that our third-party marketplace is what homebuyers and sellers need, will fundamentally change how all homes are transacted, and is a critical piece of Opendoor's future.
