MCrowd Who's moving on and who's moving up in the industry Saiyid Naqvi Saiyid T. Naqvi, former PNC Mortgage president and CEO, has been elected as a director on Freddie Mac's board, the company announced. Naqvi led PNC Mortgage Corporation of America between 1995 and 2001, when PNC Financial Services Group sold off its mortgage business. He returned in 2009 to head the newly constituted PNC Mortgage. There, he was responsible for the management of the company's $121 billion portfolio and its national network of 91 retail mortgage offices. He has also served on the corporate boards of Genworth Financial and Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings. Paul Gomez Genworth Financial, Inc., promoted Paul Gomez to COO of its U.S. Mortgage Insurance unit. Gomez was formerly SVP for Genworth Financial's U.S. Life Insurance Operations team. He and his senior personnel will focus on maximizing USMI's operational effectiveness. "As we continue looking at how to best align our operations teams to achieve our loss mitigation goals and provide exceptional customer service, Paul's experience with running large customer service teams and analytics will be key to our work," said USMI president and CEO Rohit Gupta. Bob Crittenden In Colorado, LenderLive Network, Inc., appointed Bob Crittenden as VP of sales for its GuardianDocs division. Crittenden is a more than 20-year veteran of the industry, having worked as VP of post-production operations for HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation and as VP of production for RBMG, Inc., a residential mortgage bank in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to joining GuardianDocs, he was a senior account executive for Xerox Business Services, where he was responsible for growing revenue and profitability of major and mid-tier accounts within the financial services industry. Leyla Alhosseini Leyla Alhosseini is another of the new batch of talent joining Realty Pilot's crew. As an account executive, Alhosseini will put her focus on new clients and business development. She maintains a successful real estate brokerage in the San Francisco Bay area, and her prior career saw her working in technology in software engineer and support roles. George Reichert George Reichert joined Genworth USMI's leadership team as chief information officer (CIO). Reichert most recently was CIO at Nortel Networks in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, where he leveraged his expertise to create and lead the vision for Nortel's IT restructuring plan. He also led IT teams at Lenovo and DHL. Reichert graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Manhattan College in New York. Brett Kline Brett Kline is now serving Stewart Title Guaranty Company as underwriting counsel for the Carolinas. An attorney in real estate services since 1999, Kline has worked for various law firms throughout his career and has served as a licensed South Carolina title insurance agent. His experience includes closings, title defect curatives, foreclosure pleadings, documents, and hearings. In his new position, he will handle residential and commercial underwriting services for independent issuing agencies and local Stewart offices in North and South Carolina. Doug Williamson Doug Williamson signed on to Realty Pilot's business development team as VP. Williamson is a veteran of the mortgage servicing and default industries, possessing experience spanning servicing operations, customer service, collections, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and REO asset management and disposition. Kathy Keller Carrington Mortgage Services' lending division announced the appointment of Kathy Keller as branch manager for its Springfield, Virginia, office. Keller—a licensed mortgage loan originator in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia—has more than a decade of experience in the mortgage lending industry. She was most recently operations manager at Dominion Residential Mortgage, where she was responsible for all lending functions, including sales, underwriting, funding, processing, closing, and post-closing activities. Manny Gomes Having been approved in August, Norcom Mortgage's Fairfield, Connecticut, branch is open for business, and Manny Gomes is at the helm. Gomes has been a resident of the area since graduating from Southern Connecticut State University in 2006. After graduating, he went on to become a licensed loan officer and has been a student of the trade ever since. "I'm very excited to have such a high-level mortgage professional like Manny joining the Norcom team," said Norcom owner Philip DeFronzo. Brandon Gallegos Brandon Gallegos is Realty Pilot's new director of client relations, focusing on enhancing the firm's software system for current clients and users. Gallegos is a long-time industry professional with broad experience ranging from legal and senior asset manager positions to director roles for many of the top servicers and outsourcers. Mari Mahoney Opes Advisors announced the hiring of Mari Mahoney as a mortgage advisor in the firm's Pleasanton, California, location. In her 34 years as a mortgage banking professional, Mahoney has closed more than $1 billion in home loans while at the same time building a solid reputation for excellence. She is also a nationally recognized trainer in the mortgage banking industry and co-authored the book Will it Ever Close?—a humorous look at misadventures in real estate.
