Craig Zielazny Valuations expert Craig Zielazny has jointed Platinum Data Solutions to help build out its automated valuation model (AVM) offerings, the company announced. As Platinum Data's new SVP of valuation analytics, Zielazny is tasked with growing its valuation analytics channel, which includes 18 nonproprietary AVMs and OptiVal, an AVM suitability testing technology. According to a company release, Zielazny is an "integral component" of Platinum Data's plans for growth over the next few years, especially as AVMs explode in popularity. Robert Colbeck Mortgage Contracting Services (MCS), a nationwide provider of property preservation, inspections, and property maintenance to the financial services industry, named Robert Colbeck as chief technology officer. Colbeck has been with MCS since 2004, working in its Tampa operations center as one of the original architects of the company's Web-based technology portal, MCS360. In addition to leading MCS' software development team, he has been instrumental in overseeing multiple sites and data centers, helping the company's data-redundancy and disaster-recovery efforts. Susan Pettem In Texas, Wingspan Portfolio Advisors named industry veteran Susan Pettem to the newly created position of EVP for business development. Pettem has spent more than 30 years in the mortgage business and has led national sales and major accounts efforts for several large companies. She spent 18 years with Fidelity National Financial as SVP of sales and marketing and became national sales executive for Lender Processing Services when her division was spun off. Prior to joining Wingspan, she was SVP and national accounts executive for First American Mortgage Services. Mark McLaughlin Pacific Union's CEO, Mark A. McLaughlin, was named as the recipient of the 2013 RISMedia Real Estate Leadership Award, a national accolade recognizing members of the real estate community who embrace innovation and blaze new trails. "I am seriously humbled by this award, which goes to my team at Pacific Union, as I am far more dependent on them than they are on me," McLaughlin said. "It's exciting for all of us to see our hard work recognized with this exceptional industry accolade." Joseph Kowalewski A new face has joined Austin-based 360 Mortgage Group. Joseph Kowalewski has been brought on as regional manager of the East region of the United States. Kowalewski joins 360 Mortgage from NYCB Mortgage LLC, a division of New York Community Bank, where he served as East division manager and Northeast regional manager. From his office in Marlton, New Jersey, Kowalewski will focus on attracting high-quality mortgage brokers to 360 Mortgage and expanding market share in the region. Eric Koenig Hubzu, an online real estate marketplace, has a new leader on board. The company named Eric M. Koenig as its new president. Koenig has experience driving growth initiatives for technology brands, having served most recently as COO and SVP of global business operations at Expedia. "Eric's leadership, depth of experience, and proven track record of execution will increase the pace of innovation and growth within the Hubzu marketplace," said William B. Shepro, CEO of Hubzu's parent company, Altisource. Scott McNulla Clayton Holdings, LLC, a provider of loan due diligence, surveillance, and consulting services to the mortgage industry, announced the addition of Scott McNulla to its executive team. McNulla joined the company as VP of regulatory compliance. McNulla has spent more than two decades working in the mortgage industry, most recently working as director of regulatory compliance at Allonhill, where he developed an independent compliance review team to specialize in performing the compliance portion of loan-level due diligence reviews. Kathy Pilgrim The lending division of Carrington Mortgage Services appointed Kathy Pilgrim as manager of the company's branch in Duluth, Georgia. Pilgrim brings with her nearly 15 years' experience in mortgage lending. She was most recently regional sales manager at Impac Mortgage, where she was responsible for managing her branch and recruiting across the Southeast. In her new role, Pilgrim will oversee her office as it focuses on continued growth and providing expanded product offerings to consumers in the Atlanta metro market. Jeremy Harmon Title365 Company, a provider of title insurance and escrow services based in California, announced the hiring of Jeremy Harmon as SVP of national sales. Harmon has a proven record of business development, sales, customer service, and market growth developed over a career spanning nearly 20 years. He began at First American, where his service resulted in a series of executive-level appointments during the course of his nearly 16-year tenure there. Most recently, he served as VP at Lawyers Title Insurance. Bob Oakland Stewart Title of California announced the promotion of current group SVP Bob Oakland to the position of president. Oakland has been with the Stewart organization since 1995 and has worked since then to lead offices within the direct operations division on the West Coast. "Bob has been integral in building our West Coast operations, and we look to his expertise in mapping out our California expansion," said Glenn H. Clements, group president of direct operations. Michael Wallace Lenders Compliance Group Inc. named Michael J. Wallace Esq. as director of marketing compliance. Wallace has spent more than 20 years counseling clients on federal and state industry laws and regulations regarding mortgage acts, practices, and marketing. He has experience identifying regulatory risks pertaining to advertisements, marketing campaigns, and lead generation methodologies, in particular. He is also the developer of Clix MG Inc., a contact management provider for the mortgage industry. Carl Grimes Carrington Mortgage Services' lending division appointed Carl Grimes as branch manager of its office in Tampa, Florida. He joins Carrington from his most recent stint as sales manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where his responsibilities included managing sales operations and building an external network of real estate sales professionals on Florida's west coast. With a history of delivering results spanning nearly two decades, Grimes "has the experience and dedication necessary to ensure the most efficient delivery of products and services to borrowers," Carrington said in a release.
