MDWELL Out of Breath Home prices took off like a bullet train in 2013, increasing by wide margins, but as the weather began to cool so did the increase. CoreLogic found that, excluding distressed sales, home prices creeped forward by 0.4 percent from September to October 2013. CoreLogic's CEO noted that the "housing market appears to be catching its breath." These cities led the nation in home price increases, and by looking at the most recent Census Bureau data, increased building permits and declining vacancy rates are part of the reason why. 10 | The M Report
