8 | TH E M R EP O RT MCROWD DAVID SILBERMAN The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has made yet another change to its Acting Deputy Director. David Silberman will now serve as Acting Deputy Director, replacing Meredith Fuchs. Since, 2011 Silberman has served the CFPB as Associate Director for Research, Markets, and Regulations, where he has worked since 2011. Previously he served 12 years as General Counsel and EVP of Kessler Financial Services. Silberman's involvement with consumer financial services began when, as Deputy General Counsel of the AFL-CIO, he created and then served as President and CEO of Union Privilege, an arm of the AFL-CIO responsible for sponsoring and overseeing the delivery of financial services to union member. PETER MURIUNGI Peter Muriungi has been chosen as JPMorgan Chase's new head of Mortgage Servicing to replace Mike Weinbach, who was named CEO of Chase's Mortgage Banking division in December. Muriungi joined Chase in 2013 and most recently worked as the head of Shared Services with the Mortgage Banking Leadership team. His team played a key role in making sure that Chase met all the requirements of the National Mortgage Settlement and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's consent order, which was enacted in June 2015. CARMEN BELL Wells Fargo has appointed Carmen Bell to the position of SVP of Home Lending Default Servicing division. Bell has been with Wells Fargo for 12 years. In her new position, she will be leading teams dedicated to helping customers prevent and resolve delinquencies. Her teams will also be handling oversight of collections, single point of contact initiatives, underwriting, short sales, and mediations. Bell most recently served the bank as the head of Performing Servicing Operations, where she oversaw the bank's home mortgage risk management initiatives. In that position, she led a team that implemented a customer-facing website to submit and track insurance claims, improving the mortgage servicing customer experience. TOM WIND U.S. Bank has named Tom Wind as President of U.S. Bank Home Mortgage. Wind succeeds Rick Aneshansel, who is retiring. Wind has been in the mortgage industry for more than 25 years, serving a number of different lenders. He previously served EverBank Financial Corp., as EVP of Residential and Consumer Lending. He also held executive positions at Lehman Brothers/Aurora Loan Services, JPMorgan Chase, and Citicorp Mortgage. CARRIE HUNT National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) announced the promotion of Carrie Hunt to EVP of Government Affairs and General Counsel. Hunt began her career at NAFCU as Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs over 11 years ago. She was promoted to the division's Director and VP before being named to her current position, SVP of Government Affairs and General Counsel. As SVP of Government Affairs, Hunt provides a voice to NAFCU's members by supporting NAFCU's influential presence on Capitol Hill. She acts as staff liaison to the federal regulatory agencies, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the National Credit Union Administration. STEFANIE LALLY- ARDREY Stewart Title has promoted Stefanie Lally-Ardrey from Associate Senior Underwriting Counsel to VP, Senior Underwriting Counsel, serving in Stewart's New York Commercial Services Center. In her new role, she will assist customers with their local, national, and cross-border commercial real estate transactions. Lally-Ardrey has over 14 years' industry experience and previously served as a Real Estate Counsel in a private practice in New Who's moving on and who's moving up in the industry This month some of the industry's largest companies saw significant additions to their corporate lineup.
