PATRICK FLANAGAN Carrington Mortgage Services has announced that Patrick Flanagan has joined the company's Wholesale Lending Division as Executive Vice President. Flanagan has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, including more than 15 years of C-level experience. His leadership positions prior to joining Carrington have included CEO and Founder of Cove Financial Group, and Managing Director of Mortgage Trading for Cerberus Capital Management. As EVP of Carrington's Wholesale Lending Division, Flanagan will concentrate on expanding Carrington's Wholesale Channel with a strong focus on maximizing the ease of use for the broker community. EDWARD ROBINSON Edward L. Robinson has been named SVP and head of Fifth Third Mortgage, a division of Fifth Third Bancorp. In his new position, Robinson will oversee all mortgage- related functions at Fifth Third. He was previously at PHH, servicing as SVP and leading servicing opera- tions with a portfolio of more than 1.1 million loans and $234 billion through nearly 1,500 employees and contractors. Prior to servicing as SVP with PHH, he was VP of originations. Prior to PHH, Robinson held positions of increasing responsibility with Genworth Financial and General Electric and served 15 years in the U.S. Army as a Special Operations team leader. DIANE VALADEZ LRES has announced the appointment of Diane Valadez as VP of National Sales. In her new role, Valadez will be responsible for managing LRES' sales and business development operations, identifying prospective clients and potential opportunities to generate new business, and cultivating client relationships across the United States, according to a press release from the company. Valadez spent more than 16 years in leadership positions at CoreLogic/First American before serving as Director of Sales at Exact Bid, where she closed several million dollars in revenue, including two of the top 10 and seven of the top 100 commercial banks. GROVETTA GARDINEER NeighborWorks America elected Grovetta Gardineer as their Board Chairman, according to the announcement from the company. Gardineer is the successor to Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry, who had been the Chairman since March 2014. During his tenure, Curry led the corporation as it managed and invested stakeholder funds that resulted in more than $27 billion of investment over the past five years in communities across the United States by the NeighborWorks network. In her new role, Gardineer will provide strategic leadership and oversight in support of NeighborWorks America's mission to create economic opportunities, further the ability of people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives, and strengthen communities. PAT CARNEY ClosingCorp has named Pat Carney the Chief Innovation Officer. He will be charged with exploring and driving innovative solutions that impact the business and industry segments to deliver new growth opportunities and cultivate and commercialize market break- throughs. In his new position, Carney will be in charge of overseeing the strategy behind the company's technology partnerships as well as looking holistically at the user experience. Additionally, he will work closely with the product develop- ment team and all players within the mortgage ecosystem to drive creativity and implement forward- thinking solutions. LINDSAY HARRISON Alliant National Title Insurance Company has appointed Lindsay R. Hall Harrison, Esq., as associate Florida underwrit- ing counsel. Harrison, a licensed attorney and member of the Florida Bar, previously held the position of litigation attorney for one of Florida's legacy law firms before starting her own law firm. She also served as in-house counsel for a major national mortgage lender, overseeing the implementation of the recent TRID conversion and working to improve the settlement and post-closing services departments. ROBERT SCHEER Landmark Network, Inc. has announced the addition of Robert Scheer to the company as Chief Strategy Officer, where he will utilize his many years of customer service experience to grow client relationships and ensure customer relations. Scheer's previous position in the industry include serving as SVP for another national appraisal management company, Production Manager at First Choice Bank, and various managerial and executive positions for Maverick Residential Mortgage, Synergy Mortgage Corp., WMC Mortgage Corp., and Infinity Mortgage Corp. In Memoriam CLAIRE LOUISE BREAULT Claire Louise Breault passed away on June 16, 2016, at age 52 after a six-month battle with cancer. A loved and respected member of the default services industry, Breault began working in the industry at the age of 18 and worked for numerous firms both directly and as a consultant through her company, CLB Consulting. Her most recent position was with ServiceLink as a National Sales Executive. "Claire Breault had a successful career in marketing, client relations and sales because she possessed so many great qualities that made you want to know her and be her friend, and she had a strong work ethic. She was intelligent, authentic, personable, and cared deeply for her customers. I was lucky to work with her and to have been her friend.
