10 | TH E M R EP O RT MCROWD PATRICK SINKS MGIC Investment Corporation CEO Patrick Sinks has been named the chairman of U.S. Mortgage Insurers (USMI), marking a new chapter for USMI since it was formed in March 2014. Sinks, who was serving as vice chair of USMI, succeeds Rohit Gupta, President and CEO of Genworth Mortgage. Sinks has more than three decades of experience in the mortgage insurance industry. He has served in numerous roles with MGIC since joining the company at its primary subsidiary Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) in 1978 as a member of the accounting team. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MGIC Investment Corporation (MTG) and MGIC before being named CEO of MGIC Investment Corporation in March 2015. G. IRWIN GORDON Single-family rental homes provider Invitation Homes has appointed G. Irwin Gordon as EVP and Chief Revenue Officer, according to an announcement from the company. Gordon joined Invitation Homes earlier this year as the company's Chief Marketing Officer. As the company's Chief Revenue Officer, Gordon will be charged with developing and executing partner- ships and programs that expand the company's service offering, drive revenue growth, and add value to Invitation Homes residents' customer experience. His responsi- bilities include marketing strategy and execution, customer call center operations, lease administration, and public relations and communica- tions. Gordon has more than 30 years of experience as either a CEO or leading marketing efforts for various companies. DERIC BARNETT Dallas, Texas- based PlainsCapital Bank has announced the appointment of Deric Barnett as EVP of the bank's National Warehouse Lending Division. In his position as EVP with PlainsCapital Bank, Barnett will be responsible for the growth, development, and long-term success of the bank's warehouse-lending platform. Barnett's experience in residential lending, which spans more than a decade, includes holding leadership positions with Texas Capital Bank, where he served as VP Product Development, developing product and program content for that bank's Correspondent Lending Division; and Prime Lending, where he served as Product Development and Investor Relations Director, developing mortgage lending products and executions. CYNTHIA CHEN LendingHome has announced the appointment of expert risk leader Cynthia Chen as Chief Risk Officer. In her new position with LendingHome, Chen will be responsible for all aspects of mortgage risk manage- ment and analysis across LendingHome's portfolio of real estate loans. Her 12-year track record of providing risk and mortgage underwriting leadership at top institutions includes serving as a credit risk expert on engage- ments at Fannie Mae for more than six years, leading the assessment of mortgage portfolio losses and automated valuation models. She served in similar positions with Washington Mutual, Ally Bank, and E*Trade. WYNETTA BYERS LRES has promoted Wynetta Byers to chief appraiser. In this role, Byers will be responsible for developing, recom- mending, and implementing sound valuation risk management strategies. Byers previously served as senior staff appraiser with LRES, where her responsibilities included managing client appraisal appeals processes, assisting new clients with product development, establishing appraisal requirements, and analyzing and reconciling different valuation products for clients. Before joining LRES, Byers was a certified appraiser for a residential appraisal company which specialized in origination appraisals probate, and complex and high-end properties. MICHELLE ESPARZA OS National, LLC, a Duluth, Georgia- based nationwide provider of residential and commercial title and escrow services, has named Michelle Esparza national sales executive, according to an announcement from the company. In her new role with OS National, Esparza will be based in Texas and will be responsible for developing and nurturing lender relationships nationwide. Her extensive experi- ence and expertise in sales and property title insurance includes more than 20 years at global real estate services company Stewart Title. Her most recent position with that company was as director of lender services with their Enterprise Revenue Group, where she was responsible for growth of strategic lender relationships nationwide. DAN HULTQUIST San Diego-based ReverseVision, a provider of software and technology for the reverse mortgage industry, has announced that industry educator Dan Hultquist has been hired as director of learning and development. In his new role with ReverseVision, Hultquist will use his experience in loan origination to work with retirement advisors to help ReverseVision provide the industry with a range of products, financial tools, and educational techniques, with the goal of driving volume growth.
