24 | TH E M R EP O RT Kimberly Johnson is SVP and Chief Risk Officer for Fannie Mae and she is respon- sible for Enterprise Risk Management, which oversees the company's governance and strategy for global risk management. Johnson works tirelessly to enable a more stable housing finance system. Prior to that, Johnson was Senior Vice President –Multifamily Capital Markets and Pricing. Earlier, she was Vice President for Capital Markets–Multifamily, and Vice President– Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk Management. She joined Fannie Mae as the company dealt with the financial crisis. Johnson rose to the challenge and committed herself to helping transform the company. Before joining Fannie Mae in 2006, Johnson was a director at Credit Suisse, where her re- sponsibilities included financial institution fixed-income sales coverage, hedge funds, money managers, and U.S. government- sponsored entities. Previously, she was a U.S. equity trader at D.E. Shaw & Co. Johnson has a bachelor of arts in econom- ics from Princeton University and a master of business administration in finance from Columbia Business School. Johnson exemplifies hard work, strong leadership, and effective management. She is also dedicated to helping women and minorities advance in the corporate world. Johnson is level-headed, compas- sionate, and dedicated. Her strong sense of accountability guides her decision-making process and solidifies her role as a skilled risk manager. Kimberly is motivated to providing liquidity to the market—and com- mitted to providing it in a safe and sound manner to support the economic recovery. Additionally, Johnson is a member of Fannie Mae's Diversity Advisory Council and the Women's Employee Resource Group. Her personal commitment to elevating women has made her a highly sought-after speaker. She speaks publicly, grants interviews, and hosts events to call attention to a career path that rarely has visible women and minorities. Johnson is a dedicated supporter of ac- cess to quality education in public schools. For the past eight years, she has been a board member of the Washington, D.C., affiliate of Communities in Schools (CIS), the nation's leading dropout prevention program.
