Ramie Word SVP PERFORMING ACQUISITIONS & BORROWER COMMUNICATION, NATIONSTAR MORTGAGE LLC Ramie Word has been in the industry for more than 15 years, the last 12 of which have been with Nationstar Mortgage, where she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Performing in Novem - ber 2015. With a heavy default background, Word possesses a drive and determination to cultivate employees and improve the processes for customers and investors. Word originally got into the mortgage industry be - cause she viewed it as a "challenging and exciting" role as she was finish- ing college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She cites as her professional inspirations her colleagues at Nation - star, Courtney Ehinger and Dana Dillard and her mother as her personal mentor. "She is the smart - est person I know," Word said. Before joining Civic Financial Services, Yang served as Director of Marketing for Colony American Finance, a subsidiary of Colony Capital. There, she was part of a startup team, helping to build products and services that resulted in $1 billion in loans in 18 months. Yang has also held executive positions in pri - vate equity, entertainment, and law.
