10 | TH E M R EP O RT MCROWD PATRICIA POINTER The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has announced the appointment of Patricia Pointer to the position of Deputy Comptroller for Leadership, Executive, and Organizational Development with the agency. In her new role with the OCC, Pointer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of agency-wide executive, leadership, and career development programs and will advise senior management on ways to improve or sustain organization effectiveness. She will also serve as the expert policy advisor on the planning and execution of succession management plans for the agency. Pointer's previous positions include Deputy Comptroller for Human Capital and Program Manager for the OCC's Enterprise Workforce Planning effort. Before joining the OCC, Pointer worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury as Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer and managed the Treasury Executive Institute. PATRICK MCCLAIN Online real estate marketplace Auction.com has announced the hiring of Patrick McClain as SVP of Auction Portfolio Operations, where he will lead the company's portfolio management team. The focus of Auction.com's portfolio operations under McClain's leadership will be optimizing REO disposition services by establishing enhanced partnerships with third-party vendors, agents, and its clients' asset management companies. McClain brings nearly 20 years' experience working in the Asset Management field, during which time he has managed portfolios of more than 200,000 REO assets. McClain's previous positions include SVP with Atlas Nationwide, overseeing asset management services, including marketing, preservation and maintenance, refurbishment, title, HOA, vendor management, and eviction/relocation assistance; and SVP at GMAC Mortgage, where he managed the company's Enterprise REO group. ERIC ZEIER Academy Mortgage has announced the hiring of former NFL quarterback Eric Zeier as the company's Southeast Regional Manager, where his responsibilities will include directing the company's sales, recruiting, market expansion, and business development in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. Zeier received a business degree from the University of Georgia, where he was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs football team. While playing for Georgia, he set several school and Southeastern Conference passing records, notably most career passing yards in SEC history. He was a Heisman trophy finalist both his junior and senior years. Zeier went on to play in the NFL for three teams over the course of six years (1995-2000). Following his NFL career, Zeier started in the mortgage industry with Homebanc in 2002, advancing from Loan Officer to Branch Manager to Regional Manager. Prior to joining Academy Mortgage, Zeier had worked at Bank of America since 2009 in several senior leadership roles throughout the Southeast, including as a Regional Sales Executive and SVP responsible for Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. STUART PRATT CoreLogic has appointed Stuart Pratt as SVP of Government and Industry Relations. In his new role with CoreLogic, Pratt will oversee engagement with the White House, Congress, state legislatures, and other policymakers in addition to think tanks, consumer advocacy groups, and trade associations. Pratt will work with senior leaders and key policymakers on important policy and reputational issues that CoreLogic and its clients face. Before joining CoreLogic, Pratt worked for the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) for three decades, most recently as president and CEO. During his lengthy tenure with the CDIA, Pratt was recognized as a champion for the consumer credit industry. He has regularly served on U.S. presidential and gubernatorial task forces on policy matters touching all facets of credit and related information flow.
