One of the initiatives is the "Know Before You Owe" mortgage rule, or TRID, on which the bureau sought comments on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to make clarifications and offer further regulatory guidance in regard to TRID. The agenda provides a summary of other mortgage rules, which include cer- tain consumer protections for mortgage originations and servicing designed to prevent the practices that led to the 2008 financial crisis.
