Read who got into the fray, staking out opinions on hot topics such as the HUD budget, CFPB constitutionality, and rising mortgage rates. "A blow for thousands of mortgage borrowers" Trulia's DAVID WEIDNER stated this in a recent report analyzing the potential impact of eliminating or reforming the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. "State of mind" HUD Secretary BEN CARSON made this controversial comment referring to poverty during SirusXM's Townhall. "You do become a prisoner in your home…" First American Chief Economist MARK FLEMING referencing rising mortgage rates lowering the incentive to move in a Business Insider report. "Fun is hanging out in L.A." STEVEN MNUCHIN'S response to the question if his role as Treasury Secretary is fun. He went on to say, "[Being Treasury Secretary] is the most interesting thing I've ever done." "Whose ox is going to get gored?" JUDGE BRETT KAVANAUGH, who sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, said this after last month's hearing on the constitutionality of the CFPB. Kavanaugh was referring to the director's five-year term, which means that Trump's next appointee could face similar challenges to the ones Richard Cordray is now, if the next election brings a change in the administration.
