Know someone moving up in the industry? email us at Editor@TheMReport.com. GOVERNMENT WILLIAM A. ROWE The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has appointed a new Chief Risk Officer, William A. Rowe. Rowe will replace Linda Cunningham, who vacated her position back in April upon retiring. He will be responsible for evaluating the risks that face the agency. In the past, Rowe has served as Deputy to the Chief of Staff and Liaison to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation under previous Comptroller of the Currency, Thomas J. Curry, who was appointed by the Obama administration. ANNA MARIA FARÍAS In August, Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson swore in Texas-native Anna Maria Farías to the role of Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. Her office is charged with working to eliminate housing discrimination, promote economic opportunity, and foster diverse and inclusive communities across the country. Her past tenure at HUD was under the George W. Bush administration, where she held senior roles as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grant Programs in the Office of Community Planning and Development, and as Director of HUD's Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives. KEVIN STITT Kevin Stitt, Founder and CEO of Gateway Mortgage Group, which was founded in 2000, recently announced his intention to run for the Governorship of Oklahoma in 2018. Gateway Mortgage is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the U.S., employing more than 1,100 people and servicing mortgages across 40 states. STACEY GOODMAN Freddie Mac announced that Stacey Goodman is joining Freddie Mac as EVP and CIO. Her tenure will begin on September 25, 2017. Goodman has over 25 years of technology experience in the financial services industry. Her responsibilities include leading the Information Technology (IT) division and providing corporate- wide leadership for all the company's technology activities. Goodman will be a member of the Senior Operating Committee and will report directly to Donald H. Layton, CEO of Freddie Mac. LENDING KRISTY FERCHO Flagstar Bank recently announced the addition of Kristy Fercho, who was previously SVO and Customer Delivery Executive for Fannie Mae, to lead Flagstar's Mortgage Business. In 2016 alone, Flagstar originated $32 billion in home loans. Fercho spent 15 years with Fannie Mae, originally as the VP of Human Resources responsible for the company's people strategy, talent acquisition, and cultural transformation. Since then, she served in customer management roles and oversaw mortgage production of almost 2,000 lenders. As of late, she managed customer delivery strategy and business performance of all Western U.S. customers, delivering single-family home loans to the agency. GABE MINTON Guild Mortgage, a large independent mortgage lender with offices in 25 states, welcomes experienced mortgage technology professional Gabe Minton to its leadership team as EVP of Information Technology. Minton brings to his new role more than 25 years of experience spanning the realms of strategy, software development, vendor relations, and communications. In his new role, Minton will report directly to Guild Mortgage President and CEO Mary Ann McGarry. SERVICE PROVIDERS MARCELLO MASTIONI Marcello Mastioni joins Altisource's executive team as President, Real Estate Marketplace in the company's international headquarters located in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. As the number of consumers and investors using online tools to buy and sell homes continues to increase, Mastioni's role will take on the responsibilities of driving growth by focusing on digital experience and strategy across the company's platforms, including the real-estate focused marketplaces of Owners. com and Hubzu. LAURA WILBANKS Equifax Inc. recently announced an almost 20-year company veteran is now leading its marketing team. Laura Wilbanks was appointed as Equifax's new Chief Marketing Officer, succeeding Trey Loughran, who recently assumed the role of President of United States Information Solutions (USIS). Wilbanks first joined the company in 1998 as a Business Development Lead for the telecommunications vertical. Just two years later, she was named VP of Equifax. MARK COLE Formerly Hope LoanPort, HLP recently announced Mark Cole as their new President and CEO, as well as member of the HLP board of directors. Cole is an industry veteran who has devoted his career to the nonprofit sector. Prior to his being named as President and CEO, Cole served as HLP's EVP and Chief Strategy
