GOVERNMENT MICHAEL HENTREL The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) has appointed Michael Hentrel as General Counsel. Hentrel's tenure began at DCHFA in April, where he serves as the agency's lead attorney. The General Counsel provides legal advice on operational, programmatic, and transactional actions of the agency through drafting opinions and providing legal interpretation and leading negotiations. Hentrel is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in History and holds a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the Howard University School of Law. CHRISTOPHER HERBERT Freddie Mac announced that Christopher E. Herbert was elected to the company's Board of Directors. Herbert currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Homeownership Preservation Foundation and is a Trustee of Greenpath Financial Wellness. Herbert is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging and the Advisory Council for the Center for Responsible Lending. Herbert holds a Ph.D. and master's degree from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. JOHN C. WILLIAMS The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced that John C. Williams has been named President and CEO. His appointment by the eligible members of the New York Fed's Board of Directors was approved by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. "After a thorough process, my fellow search committee members and I felt that John best fulfilled the criteria we'd identified as well as the feedback we'd received through our public outreach efforts," said Sara Horowitz, Chair of the New York Fed's Board of Directors, and co-chair of the search committee. "John cares deeply and is committed to the dual mandate and has led extensive work on the U.S. labor markets and employment. John has always been willing to speak his mind and encourage the Fed to be forward-looking and reflective." LENDER/SERVICER RONALD BERGUM AmeriFirst Home Mortgage (AmeriFirst), a division of AmeriFirst Financial Corp., has an- nounced the appointment of Ronald Bergum as President of its newly formed Southwest Division. As a recognized mortgage industry leader, Bergum has held numerous executive level positions in the mortgage industry, with his most recent position of CEO at Prospect Mortgage, LLC, as well as serving as Co-CEO of Indymac Bank's Retail Lending Group, and EVP of Production and Sales for the Western Retail Division of American Home Mortgage. The new full-ser- vice home loan center is operating under the name "AmeriTrust Home Mortgage," to avoid confusion with Amerifirst Financial, Inc., which also operates in the southwest region. BRIAN BRIZARD LISA PATTERSON Home Point Financial Corporation (Home Point), a national multi-channel mortgage originator and servicer, has announced the appointment of Brian Brizard as Chief Business Officer and Lisa Patterson as Chief Production Officer. For the past three years, Brizard held the position of Chief Production Officer for Home Point, while Patterson most recently served as Home Point's Executive Managing Director—TPO Production. "We are fortunate to have a strong and deep leadership group at Home Point," said Willie Newman, President and CEO of Home Point. "Brian and Lisa have been outstand- ing contributors, and I look forward to expanded contribution from each of them in their new roles." TONY EBERS Tony Ebers, formerly EVP of Operations at Nationstar, has been promoted to serve as the company's first COO in its 24 year history. Ebers has assumed responsibility for servicing, originations, and Xome operations. Ebers is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the company and leading the company- wide initiative to place the home, rather than the loan, at the center of the homeownership journey. "Tony is a seasoned and trusted leader who consistently delivers results. He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic prioritization and accountability within Nationstar, with a laser-focus on operational excellence," said Jay Bray, Chairman and CEO.
