Thomas, CEO of Boston Properties was elected as the new Global Chairman of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Thomas, a longtime ULI member, ULI governing trustee and ULI Foundation governor, will serve a two-year term that ends June 30, 2021. The drop in mortgage rate has had a trickle-down effect, impacting prospective homeown- ers and those who also own a home that want to refinance. A report from June stated that continued-decline of mortgage rates has resulted in 5 million more refinance candidates.
