ANDREW JEWETT Anchor Loans, a provider of financing to fix-and-flip entrepreneurs, announced that Andrew Jewett has joined the company as SVP, Enterprise Sales. In this newly created position, Jewett will be responsible for account management/segmentation, sales re- cruitment/training, new product de- velopment/deployment, marketing, and the overall growth of Anchor's sales team and customer base. Jewett brings more than 16 years of experience in fix-and-flip lending and real estate capital markets. He joins Anchor from Sundae, Inc., where he was Head of Lending and co-head of Capital Markets. Jewett joined Sundae when it acquired Aperture, a proprietary analytics and prop- tech firm that he co-founded. Prior to Aperture, Jewett was Managing Director and co-head of Capital Markets at Wedgewood, a diversi- fied operating/real estate investment company. During his time there, he was part of the early team leading the rapid growth of Civic Financial Services, its fix-and-flip lending subsidiary. Earlier in his career, Jewett served as a Director of Mortgage Finance for Royal Bank of Scotland and as an analyst with C.D. Downer & Co. and Greenwich Capital. Jewett is a graduate of Babson College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in busi- ness administration. SAMANTHA MANFER Planet Home Lending LLC has announced the promotion of Samantha Manfer to Chief Business Development and Brand Officer. Since joining Planet Home Lending in 2013, Manfer has executed and marketed strategic initiatives that take advantage of synergies within the Planet family of companies. She helped Planet Management Group expand into niche residential products and commercial asset management, and Planet Home Lending's retail retention division begin offering defensive recapture refinancing to protect subservicing clients' mortgage servicing rights. Her latest project was the creation of a monetization engine giving private clients the ability to swiftly change asset strategies based on market conditions and freely move loans between performing, nonperforming, and reperforming workflows. "Samantha has the industry knowledge, cross-channel insight, and Planet brand knowledge to take our marketing and branding to the next level," Planet Home Lending President Sandra Jarish said. "Her more than two decades of indus- try experience includes business development for retail, correspon- dent, servicing, subservicing, asset management, warehouse lending, and fintech companies." Before joining Planet in 2013, Manfer held positions at Prospect Mortgage LLC, Ameripath Mortgage Company, National City Bank, and PCFS Solutions. "Planet Home Lending has signifi- cant expansion plans for 2021 and beyond. Leveraging our brand is an essential part of those endeavors," Manfer said. "We have made a signifi- cant investment in our brand man- agement team to lay the groundwork for those improvements and to en- sure our brand is correctly positioned to best serve our six channels." Manfer's promotion is the latest move by the firm to further grow after the recent hiring of Caleb Mittelstet, AMP, as EVP, National Production, Distributed Retail Sales. STEVEN PLAISANCE Gateway First Bank announced the formal appointment of Steven Plaisance as President of Mortgage Banking. Plaisance has served as interim president since February 22, 2021, during the regulatory approval process. In this role, Plaisance will be a key part of the executive leadership team, helping to define and set the course for mortgage activities across all spectrums. "With his extensive experience and leadership, we are able to align all things mortgage, including retail, correspondent, operations, secondary, and servicing, under one umbrella. Prior to joining Gateway, Plaisance worked at Arvest Bank for nearly 32 years, serving most recently as President and CEO of Arvest Bank's mortgage banking division for the past six years. Plaisance currently serves and previously served on a number of advisory boards for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He is also very active in leadership roles with the Mortgage Bankers Association, including the current chairman of the Mortgage Action Alliance. SERVICE PROVIDERS GUADALUPE GARCIA ChainLogix Mortgage Solutions, a division of ChainLogix LLC, announced that Guadalupe Garcia has been appointed as National Sales Executive, expanding the company's West Coast presence. She will be focused on developing the compa- ny's Title Services, including title search, tax report, post-closing, and recording. She reports to Tim Moreland, SVP, Operations and Business Development at ChainLogix. "This position is ideally suited to le- verage my business development and project management experience," Garcia said. "I'll be able to utilize my skills to bring our customers the best in the title services business, which is ChainLogix's strength." Garcia has a decade of experience in the mortgage industry. She began her career in the mortgage division of CashCall, and most recently held the role of Business Development Manager at SYNRGO, Inc. (formerly SPL/DPS). Garcia also brings exten- sive experience in project manage- ment at technology companies through both her work at SYNRGO, Inc. and at QualityAnalytics.io. "Guadalupe comes to our team with a strong background in elec- tronic recording integrations with counties, which complements our electronic recording solutions," said Moreland of ChainLogix.
