Heid, EVP and head of Home Lending at Wells Fargo, has announced his retirement after near- ly 28 years with the bank and 11 years with Wells' mortgage division. Heid joined legacy Norwest Mortgage, now Wells Fargo, in 1988 and served in such leadership positions as CFO and head of loan servicing before being named co-president of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in 2004. Franklin Codel, EVP and currently head of mortgage production, will succeed Heid. * * * RUSSELL ANDERSON Russell Anderson has been named president and CEO of Guardian Mortgage Company, Inc., upon the announcement of Marcia Phillips' retirement. Anderson has 30 years' experience in the mortgage industry at leading financial institu- tions, including First Union National Bank, Wells Fargo, and most re- cently, as a SVP at Bank of America. In his new role, he will be expected to lead Guardian as it executes a strategic plan to make the com- pany's business model national while adapting to the evolving regulatory and compliance environment. GENADY VISHNEVETSKY Stewart Information Services Corp. has selected Genady Vishnevetsky as their chief information security officer. Stewart selected Vishnevetsky due to his proven track record helping orga- nizations develop well-rounded, methodical security programs that align with business objectives and are sensitive to risk tolerance. In Vishnevetsky's last role as the VP of security and information security officer at Paymetric, he built cyber security, governance, and compli- ance programs. STEVEN ANTONAKES Eastern Bank has appointed former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) deputy di- rector, and the associate director for Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending, Steven L. Antonakes as SVP and chief compliance officer. While at the CFPB, Antonakes served as its second highest-ranking official and was responsible for the supervision of all banks and non-banks under the Bureau's jurisdiction and the enforcement of federal consumer protection and fair lending laws. GAVIN T. ALES Gavin T. Ales has joined DocMagic, Inc., as its chief compliance officer, where he will have hands-on involve- ment in the development, implementa- tion, and maintenance of DocMagic's compliance products and services. This includes managing DocMagic's library of mortgage loan documents, monitor- ing legal and regulatory changes, and developing and maintaining DocMagic's automated compliance tests and audits. Ales was the deputy chief compliance officer at Prospect Mortgage, LLC, prior to joining DocMagic. * * * KATHLEEN PHILIPS/ AMY BOHUTINSKY/ JEREMY WACKSMAN Zillow Group has named Kathleen Philips, who has been the company's COO since 2013, as the new CFO. In addition, Amy Bohutinsky, who has been chief marketing officer since 2011, has been promoted to COO of Zillow Group. Former Zillow VP of Marketing and Product Management Jeremy Wacksman will replace Bohutinsky as chief marketing officer. * * * DR. SVENJA GUDELL In addition, Zillow promoted Dr. Svenja Gudell to chief economist. Gudell joined Zillow in 2011 and was formerly Zillow's senior director of economic research. In her new role as chief economist, she will be the face of Zillow's housing research as she contin- ues to lead Zillow's economic research team. Prior to her work at Zillow, Gudell did economic, financial, and strategy consulting for Analysis Group. * * * JAMES BOLGER ClosingCorp welcomes James Bolger as the new CFO of the com- pany, where he will be responsible for leading the company's financial af- fairs, which includes fiscal reporting, budget planning, capital financing, Who's moving on and who's moving up in the industry This month some of the industry's largest companies saw significant additions to their corporate lineup.
