In this position he will lead the accounting, reporting, and control functions, as well as human re- sources and regulatory compliance. He will also be a member of the executive committee. Weber has nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry and most recently served as controller of Bank of America, N.A., where he was also head of the legal entity reporting team. * * * BURTON EMBRY Burton Embry will serve as chief com- pliance officer for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. Embry will be responsible for overseeing and man- aging the company's enterprise risk management group and represent- ing PRMI's interests with industry and trade groups as well as provide significant consultative direction in the company's day-to-day and long- range business activities. He has over 30 years' experience in the mortgage industry with more than 25 of those years focusing on mortgage compli- ance and quality assurance matters. * * * RODNEY RAMCHARAN Rodney Ramcharan has been appointed research director at the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate. Ramcharan has also been named associate professor of real estate and public policy at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Previously, Ramcharan served on the Board Governors of the Federal Reserve System for the last five years as the Chief of the Systemic Financial Institutions and Markets Section. * * * NICK GRANT LRES Corp., has placed Nick Grant in the position of SVP of sales. Grant will be respon- sible for managing LRES' sales and business development operations, building customer relationships, and growing new strategic business rela- tionships with mortgage lenders and servicers. Prior to LRES, he oversaw a team at SWBC Insurance Services, where he was responsible for writing commercial lines, personal lines, and REO insurance. MIKE HOMBERG/ SCOTT BERNGARTT Mike Homberg and Scott Berngartt have both joined Caliber Home Loans, Inc., as branch manager and sales manager, respectively. Homberg and Berngartt possess more than 38 years' collective experience in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and several other regions, the company says. Currently, they are licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington and will serve the Washington metro area. CHRIS HARTMAN Chris Hartman has been promoted to sales manager of wholesale and correspondent operations at Mid America Mortgage, Inc. Hartman brings nearly two decades of mortgage sales experience to this new role, where he'll be responsible for overseeing sales efforts across Mid America's wholesale and correspondent lending division. Prior to joining Mid America, Hartman worked in a sales capacity for several mortgage lenders, including PRMG, Mortgage Services III, Sierra Pacific Mortgage, Washington Mutual, and North American Mortgage Company.
