Innovative, creative, and a problem-solver, Lee says Antonuccio is always looking for new ways to improve how the company works. Just 31 years old, Antonuccio is also passionate about helping women who have faced adversity find the courage and confidence to succeed. She mentors young professionals, including former foster youth, who are interested in pursuing careers in communications. Her greatest sense of accomplishment comes from seeing mentees pursue their dreams and not letting fear stop them. According to Lee, Antonuccio is a proponent of diversity at the company. "Laurissa is committed to representing the diverse people that Fannie Mae serves. She led several events that prioritized increasing cultural competence and providing networking, development, and exposure opportunities to employees in the housing technology market." Elizabeth Barley PROJECT MANAGER, FANNIE MAE At the young age of just 25, Elizabeth (also known as Liza) Barley is the picture of an up- and-comer. After graduating from Fannie Mae's Associates Program, she became a Project Manager for the Chief of Staff. Now, she's dedicated herself to encouraging and equipping the company's young leaders with the tools they need to grow in their careers. She spearheaded a yearlong curriculum called "Communicating as a Leader," which aims to develop the skills of young professionals through three primary focus areas: public speaking, persuasion, and networking. Barley also mentors young female professionals through the Associates Program, participates on panels, trains incoming Associates, and serves as a member of the Women in Technology group, which advocates promoting young women in STEM careers. According to her supervisor, VP Gunther Schultz, "Liza is a positive, dependable, action-oriented leader in the Chief of Staff office." Joy Cianci SVP SPECIAL ASSETS AND CORPORATE SECURITY AND FACILITIES, FANNIE MAE Joy Cianci's resume reads like someone who has perfected the fine art of juggling multiple roles while remaining true to her core values. And that's exactly as expected from this fearless leader who goes to great lengths to encourage employees and care for clients. "As a member of Fannie Mae's Management Committee, Joy encourages leadership to advance the company's goals while also promoting diversity, employee engagement, and volunteerism," a teammate said. The executive sponsor of both the Women's Employee Resource Group and Associates Program (geared toward recent college graduates), Cianci delights in coaching others and helping them progress in their professional journeys. She excels at assessing employees' skills and matching them to opportunities to help advance their careers—efforts that certainly don't go unnoticed. "In all that she does," a fellow Fannie Mae employee said, "Joy has proven to be an honest, dynamic leader who is not afraid to push the envelope." Maureen Davenport SVP AND CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER, FANNIE MAE An outspoken change agent who throws down the gauntlet on the status quo, Maureen Davenport encourages her team to think big and deliver bigger. She views challenges not as obstacles but as opportunities and is a driving force behind Fannie Mae's improved communications with its stakeholders. She pilots initiatives that support corporate priorities, engage employees, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and define today's Fannie Mae. In essence, Davenport has a voice in everything that Fannie does. And it's a strong one. "She influences all parts of the organization as a trusted advisor to her peers and our CEO," a co- worker said. "Maureen pushes us to use our creativity to change faster and perform at a higher level. … She exemplifies strong leadership, effective management, and business acumen." She also enthusiastically guides employees, peers, and others keen on career growth and makes it a priority to make time for anyone who wants to learn about communications. Laurel Davis VP FOR CREDIT RISK TRANSFER, FANNIE MAE A tenacious tone-setter who quarterbacks an award- winning team, Laurel Davis applied her industry acumen to fashion a new market sector that has quickly become one of the largest, most-liquid segments in the securitized products space. Her management style and openness to others' viewpoints likely have helped generate that success. "Her leadership is inspiring others to innovate and incorporate the principles of continuous improvement to Fannie Mae's operations," a co-worker said. Committed to mentoring young professionals—her door is always open for anyone who needs it—she offers training sessions with Fannie's Finance, Women's, and Young Professional Employee Resource Groups. And as for the accolades she and her team have received: They've garnered recognition from Risk.net for the Risk Awards' SSA deal of the year for the CAS 2016-C01. This year, Global Capital crowned them with the Best Overall Issuer, Best RMBS, Deal of the Year, and Best RMBS Data Provider distinctions.
