Her industry expertise is shared in a consultative way that enables Proctor's clients to make informed decisions about the way they conduct their lender-placed business. Under Case's leadership, the company has built a competent client relationship management team, whose focus is providing indispensable value has led to a 98 percent retention rate for the past nine years. Maureen Johnston SVP, Client Technology Maureen Johnston joined Proctor in 2009 with over 25 years of experience building strong technical organizations. She named her team "Client Technology" as a continual reminder that the technical team's primary function is to support Proctor's clients' business. "As a leader, I'm paid to think, plan, and move the organization forward. My technical team is only as good as the quality of the functional relationships that they build," she said. Her collaborative leadership style and passion for fashioning a tenured, skilled group of colleagues has led to a productive technology force at Proctor. The client technology team has built seven major proprietary enterprise applications since Johnston has been in leadership, including significant modifications to Proctor's hazard tracking system, Intelligent Insurance Manager (IIM). The technological solutions engineered by Johnston's team improve efficiency, support regulatory compliance, and alleviate administrative burden for mortgage servicers. She says, "Technology is a requirement for continuous improvement and for growth—our clients expect us to aggressively support both of these goals." Jodi Busch VP, Underwriting "I'm looking for a job where I can think." This was Jodi Busch's goal as she explored new opportunities. Hired on the spot, her career at Proctor began in 1997 as an administrative assistant. Busch prioritized education to become a subject matter expert in underwriting and insurance for financial institutions. This knowledge enabled her to ascend through the underwriting department. Today, she holds 105 insurance licenses. She appreciates taking unrelated facts and putting them together to develop an underwriting strategy for an account. She says, "We solve problems. We create risk transfer solutions. That is our goal, to figure it out. To go back to thinking." Busch is able to accomplish this through strong relationships with Proctor's insurance markets. Through good underwriting results, the underwriting team managed to expand Proctor's available catastrophe aggregate to the point that the company has no limitations. Her leadership will continue to drive Proctor's team of underwriters to develop innovative insurance programs for mortgage servicers. Malgosia Stella VP, Compliance Malgosia Stella's journey with Proctor began in 2011 as the company's compliance attorney. Under Stella's guidance, compliance was woven within each department and every aspect of the company's business. She says, "My goal at Proctor is to ensure that compliance always has a seat at the table." Stella's zeal for interpreting rules and solving puzzles directly correlates with her passion for compliance in the banking industry. As a lawyer in the world of financial institutions and housing, Stella uses her skills to decipher industry regulations and apply them to Proctor's lender-placed insurance products and services for clients. Acting as a team player, she brings parties together to solve complex compliance and regulatory issues and explains solutions in basic terms. Stella touts the need for constant vigilance saying, "Compliance requirements are continuously evolving and staying relevant in the industry requires an agile environment to respond to new rules." Amanda Bowers VP, Marketing Beginning her career at Proctor as a college intern, Amanda Bowers ascended to a leadership role in five short years. "I appreciate the confidence bestowed upon me as a millennial in a leadership role," she said. Bowers believes that leadership is not always about title or experience— leadership is about building quality relationships to foster teamwork, not hesitating to show vulnerability by asking questions, and willingness to venture outside the safe zone in pursuit of improvement and growth. In her marketing role, Bowers' mission is to showcase Proctor's strengths as an organization that employs industry experts, provides compliant lender-placed products, develops technology-driven outsourcing solutions, and prioritizes the needs of clients and borrowers. She says, "I'm fortunate to be in the company of accomplished women in leadership at Proctor—and fortunate to work at a company that values the merit of these women in leadership."
