Th e M Rep o RT | 7 Department Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota Hot Home: This in- comparable two-story penthouse boasts a private elevator and a commanding 270-de- gree view overlooking the Minneapolis skyline, plus seven private ter- races and balconies. Featuring stunning ar- chitect-designed living spaces with state-of- the-art amenities and an open floor plan, this nearly 12,000-square- foot condo is perfect for entertaining. You'll never want to set foot outside again. San Diego, California Hot Home: Nothing says luxury like oceanfront prop- erty. This picturesque 3,800-square-foot property transports you to a place of peace and tranquility. Relax on your comfortable patio literally steps from the Pacific Ocean. Yours for a cool $9.75 million, the home is lo- cated on Mission Beach on a peninsula limited only to residents that call it home. World- class fishing, diving, and surfing await you. New York City, New York Hot Home: While it's been on and off the market for about a year, Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson's massive one-bedroom Upper East Side apart- ment just sold for $2.4 million. After purchas- ing the residence in 1993, she immediately converted it from its original two bedroom layout. The multiple- time cover girl of Sports Illustrated fame is said to be living in London almost exclu- sively and had no fur- ther use for the place. Chicago, Illinois Hot Home: We first brought you this house owned by legendary NBA superstar Michael Jordan in July. It's still on the market. This secluded compound includes 56,000 square feet, nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and a regu- lation-size, NBA-quality basketball court—all surrounded by a living fence of 150 mature evergreens. A bargain at just $16 million, it's hard to understand why this piece of history has been on the market for more than two and a half years. Boston, Massachusetts Hot Home: They say that in real estate it's all about location, location, location. Located on the first block of Marlborough Street near the Public Garden, this prop- erty is begging for a restoration in order to be transformed into a magnificent residence. We know what you're thinking: "$5 million for a property that needs work?" We get it. But a little TLC put into this place could yield a property worth twice that much. Austin, Texas Hot Home: This wa- terfront property on the main body of Lake Austin is situated on almost four acres, two deeded lots, and nearly 300 feet of waterfront. With all the charm of a vast Italian villa, the eight bedroom, 10-bathroom, 10,980-square-foot home is the perfect home for entertaining. Listed at just under $7.7 million, there are endless opportunities for waterside fun with three docks, two boat slips, a party deck, lakeside pavilion, and fire pit. Washington, D.C. Hot Home: $739,000 may sound a little steep for an 870-square-foot condo, but you can't beat the location. This two-bedroom, one- bathroom home locat- ed on the 11th floor of this Washington, D.C. high rise is situated just blocks from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. Add in the amazing roof deck, health club, and con- cierge, and you've got a home fit for any ambi- tious D.C. staffer. San Francisco, California Hot Home: Anyone familiar with early 1990s television is sure to remember this place. This is the famous "Full House" home that ap- peared in the opening theme montage of the show every week, although it's hard to imagine that Danny Tanner could actually afford the place in real life on a local sports news anchor's salary. The house recently sold for $3.1 million, well be- low the $4-million dol- lar asking price. Maybe Uncle Jesse and Joey were paying rent. Denver, Colorado Hot Home: If urban liv- ing is your cup of tea, this condo is possibly the most ideal loca- tion for city living, just one block from the hustle and bustle of downtown without the congestion. At 1,700 square feet, amenities abound. This place is a Denver sports fan's dream, as the historic loft with wood beams and exposed brick is within walking distance to the Pepsi Center and Coors Field. Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Hot Home: If you have a spare $30 million lying around, have we got a deal for you. Part home, part work of art, this 10-bedroom, 11-bath- room, 29,000-square- foot mansion must be seen to truly be appreciated. Located in Dallas' exclusive Preston Hollow neigh- borhood, this dream of a property exemplifies luxury at every turn.
