TH E M R EP O RT | 13 MCROWD MATTHEW TULLY Pennsylvania-based Sagent Lending Technologies announced the appointment of Matthew Tully to its executive leadership team as VP of Agency Affairs and Compliance. The role is responsible for furthering Sagent Lending Technologies' interests with key lending industry stakeholders and influential organizations in the Washington, D.C., area. "I am excited about the opportunity to advocate for Sagent's innovative work within the lending technology space as well as the opportunity to increase the company's engagement with the housing agencies in Washington," Tully said. JANETTE WALLER California- headquartered First American Title Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Janette Waller as President of its Direct Division. In this role, Waller will lead the company's Direct Division, overseeing its direct operations across the country. Over the course of her 19-year tenure with First American Title, Waller has excelled in local and regional positions of increasing responsibility within the division. Most recently, she served as VP of Northern California operations, where she generated significant business growth and promoted a positive workplace environment. She previously served in branch, area, and operations leadership roles in Arizona. Waller's dynamic leadership style, a keen understanding of the title and settlement business, and commitment to growing the company have inspired strong customer relationships, a highly engaged and committed workforce, and strong business results, First American said in a statement. Waller currently serves on the board of the California Land Title Association and is the past president of the Arizona State Escrow Association. LEGAL JAY FRENCH Atlanta-based Padgett Law Group (PLG) has announced the appointment of Jay French as COO. In this role, French will assume duties related to the day-to-day oversight and management of the firm's operational activities associated with its creditors' rights' legal practice. PLG offers comprehensive default legal services in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas. French is based out of the firm's Atlanta office in the city's financial services hub of Buckhead. "Jay's industry and corporate experience helped us reshape ourselves internally to better face the future of this business," said Timothy D. Padgett, Founder and CEO, PLG. "After nearly a year of that process, it became clear that Jay had a long-term home at PLG and we couldn't be more excited about this permanent addition to and expansion of our executive leadership team." JASON SHAPIRO The LOGS Network announced the appointment of Jason Shapiro as Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, Shapiro will be responsible for the management and oversight of the national sales, marketing, and business development efforts for all LOGS Network law firms, title companies, and affiliated entities. Shapiro, along with Kay Schinker (COO), Jacqueline Comeau (CCO), Jamie Zelvin (General Counsel), and the LOGS partners across the country will form the foundation that carries the LOGS Network forward. "The LOGS Network is the largest legal services provider of its kind in the country and has set the standard over the last four decades," Shapiro said. "I am thrilled to join my father, his partner David, and all the partners and executives across the country in carrying forward our tradition of excellence." PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS MAGGIE M. GARDEN Maggie M. Garden, Director of Marketing and Client Relations at Bendett & McHugh, P.C. has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association. Garden's roles at Bendett & McHugh include marketing, client/ public relations, event coordinating, strategic planning and corporate communications. In addition to her work with Bendett & McHugh, P.C., Garden also serves as Chairperson of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association's (CMBA) Marketing/ Communications Committee as well as the American Legal and Financial Network's Marketing and Women in Legal Leadership Committees. In 2010, Garden co-founded the Bendett & McHugh Miles for Miracles 5k and Family Fun Walk/Run. She has served as Race Director of this event for the past eight years which has helped raise over $40,000 for Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
