In his new CIO position, Sadler will be responsible for operations and sales technology initiatives and integration oversight. He will also be in charge of leading support efforts of all enterprise systems and applications. He holds seven different information technology certifications, and has more than 25 years IT experience. Smith has been chosen to be Capital One Financial Corporation's new head of sales for Capital One Home Loans based in New York City. His new role will consist of building a mortgage sales team throughout the company's branch footprint. Smith has more than 20 years experience working with other top financial institutions. Prior to his new position, he worked at Citibank in New York as managing director and was SVP of National Retail Sales at JPMorgan Chase Bank. "After nearly 25 years in the business, the key to success is the same—doing what you say you're going to do and being maniacally focused on client/service delivery." —Desmond P. Smith rebecca engliSh MCS Valuations, LLC, (MCSV) has named Rebecca English assistant VP of operations in Sandy, Utah. English's new role will require her to help oversee MCSV's valuation operations. She has led several key client account teams while serving as director of business operations for CoreLogic, Inc., which was acquired by MCSV in 2014. She was also the AVP of default and REO at Boston Federal Savings Bank in Massachusetts, before her CoreLogic position. * * * lawrence Yuan Auction.com has hired former LinkedIn and Yahoo! engineer, Lawrence Yuan as their senior director of engineering. Yuan will oversee the development of Web and mobile products and applications that will enhance the user experience for buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals who access and interact with the platform. He has 17 years experience in the tech industry and co-invented six patent-pending algorithms and frameworks that have helped customize message delivery times for social media platforms. detta cutright Detta Cutright will join Newbold Advisors as the managing director of financial services. She has more than 22 years experience at the senior level in the financial services industry. Immediately prior to joining Newbold, she served as SVP of client development at QBE, where she oversaw business development activities, marketing communication, and industry relations. She has also served in business development and account management roles for Essent Guaranty and Republic Mortgage Insurance Company and in various client-facing roles with Fannie Mae during her 13-year tenure there. * * * Jim leath Altisource Portfolio Solutions S.A. has added Jim Leath as the VP of enterprise sales and business development for all of the company's services. Leath will join part of a growing sales and busi- ness development team responsible for sourcing and managing enterprise clients. Prior to his new position, he held sales and business development leadership roles with Lender Processing Services, Auction.com, and Hudson & Marshall. Martinez will be responsible for the leadership of mortgage profes- sionals and will be entrusted to expand the company's market share while strengthening and cultivating new re- ferral partnerships. He joined the com- pany in May 2012, beginning as a senior mortgage loan originator. He has also served in a number of management roles with other large financial institu- tions, including Open Mortgage, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America.
