JEFF KOBOLD. Prospect Mortgage is welcoming Jeff Kobold as branch manager for the company's Orleans, Massachusetts, location. Kobold, who has more than a decade of lending experience, will head up the open- ing and operations for Prospect's Orleans office, and additionally, he will take on responsibilities for the company's existing branch in Osterville, as well as other soon-to- open Cape Cod-area locations. Prior to teaming up with Prospect, Kobold served as a loan officer for Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank. JOHN D. KOCH. The chairman and CEO of ION Financial Inc., John D. Koch, has a new title to boast about, having been named to the advisory board of LTVtrade. The company announced Koch's appointment in preparation for the upcoming launch of a new ini- tiative from LTVtrade that will focus on residential whole loan mortgage and residential real estate owned trading. "LTVtrade is honored to add John Koch to our board of advisors," said Dean DiCarlo, president and founder of LTVtrade. GARY MANFREDI. Digital Risk has hired a new company leader, recently appointing former Fannie Mae VP Gary Manfredi as the company's EVP of cli- ent solutions. Prior to accepting the position with Digital Risk, Manfredi served as the VP of customer man- agement for Fannie, and while with the government-sponsored enter- prise, Manfredi worked in counter- party and default risk management, servicing management, and second- ary marketing. SEAN MOYNIHAN. Canada-based Avison Young has bolstered the company's brokerage operations in Atlanta, recently hiring Sean Moynihan to represent the organization throughout the Southeast. Joining Avison Young as a principal, Moynihan will be responsible for developing strategies for real estate expense management and assisting with long-term planning to mitigate risk. Additionally, Moynihan will conduct office-tenant representation, working with the company's tenants to enhance cash flow. DAVID SIMEK. Knight Capital Group Inc. has added David Simek to its institutional fixed income sales and trading division, recently appoint- ing him as the managing director and head of commercial mortgage- backed securities sales. Simek is one of two company leaders to join Knight from a previous role for PrinceRidge Group, and Knight's co-head of the institutional fixed income department, Al Lhota, said of the new hires, "We are happy to have them on board to lead this effort." ROBERT S. TAUBMAN. In Washington, D.C., the Real Estate Roundtable has announced its new roster of directors, and the organization has appointed Robert S. Taubman, chair- man, CEO, and president of Taubman Centers Inc., as the group's chairman for the 2013 fiscal year. In his new position, Taubman takes over duties from outgo- ing chairman Daniel M. Neidich, the CEO of Dune Real Estate Partners L.P. "I'm honored to have been asked to lead this incredible organization," noted Taubman. Editor@TheMReport.com. Grammy Winner to Turn the Spotlight on Housing Country music legend Tim McGraw is venturing out of the recording studio for his latest release, recently launching a housing program for U.S. veterans. I s country superstar Tim McGraw entering the housing finance industry? All signs point to "yes," according to a release revealing the recording art- ist's decision to launch HomeFront, a nationwide program that will provide mortgage-free homes to the country's wounded service members. McGraw announced HomeFront's inaugural recipient during a July 14 concert, awarding U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Anthony Hodge with a house in Canoga Park, California. HomeFront, which McGraw created in partnership with Operation HomeFront and JPMorgan Chase, will announce an additional 25 honorees at each show on McGraw's summer tour. Commenting on what motivated him to help create the HomeFront initiative, the Grammy winner said, "My sister's a veteran of the first Gulf War. My uncle was a Vietnam veteran and my grandfather was a World War II veteran . . . . I've always felt a deep sense of respect and obligation to our troops."
