Nishar has a long track record of leadership, having spent more than 20 years managing large, global organizations. Most recently, he served as SVP at LinkedIn, the world's largest professional social network, where he led the overall product strategy and user experience. Nishar's guidance comes at a crucial time for Auction.com as the company works to enhance its recently launched iPad application that allows buyers to locate and purchase real estate on the go. steve hozie In Dallas, HomeStar Companies appointed longtime housing veteran Steve Hozie to the dual roles of CFO and COO. Hozie has three decades' experience in the housing sector and joins HomeStar from Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, where he was SVP of strategic financial planning. During his tenure there, he started and managed a loan origination division and was responsible for pricing all of the company's financial product offerings. In a release, HomeStar said Hozie's addition comes "at a pivotal moment of growth." WaDe hamby In Atlanta, the StoneHill Group appointed Wade Hamby as national director of sales and marketing. Hamby has more than 25 years of executive experience in mortgage lending, outsourcing, and quality control with a background in risk management, loss mitigation, and fulfillment services, including both wholesale and correspondent relationships. Previously, Hamby served as StoneHill's business development manager for the Eastern United States. miNDy heppberger Auction.com also announced another new addition, naming Mindy Heppberger as EVP and chief legal officer. Heppberger's 17 years of experience include serving as VP and general counsel for Yahoo! and as an associate with Latham & Watkins, a global law firm. In her new position with Auction. com, Heppberger will oversee all of the company's legal and regulatory matters, including those related to compliance, ethics, government relations, corporate governance, and intellectual property. JohN shea New Hampshire-based mortgage services provider Birchwood Credit Services announced the addition of John Shea as SVP of sales and marketing. Shea's 25- year mortgage banking background includes management roles at Bank of America, Summit Mortgage, and most recently People's United Bank in Massachusetts. He is also a member of a number of industry organizations, including the Mortgage Bankers Association, the New Hampshire Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. paulDie hoWrigaN Title insurance and settlement services provider Avenue 365 announced the appointment of Pauldie Howrigan as VP and national account manager. Howrigan joins the company from ServiceLink, where she served as VP and national accounts director. "Pauldie is a well-respected and admired icon in the title insurance industry," said Ryan Peterson, president and CEO of Avenue 365. "I am honored that Pauldie chose Avenue 365 Lender Services for her clients, and I take her confidence in Avenue 365 very seriously." susheel maNtha In California, LRES announced the promotion of accounting veteran Susheel Mantha to the role of CFO. Mantha is a 10-year employee of LRES, serving previously in the company's accounting department as controller. In that position, she was responsible for monitoring LRES' cash flow and ensuring accurate and timely financial reports. "Susheel's in-depth knowledge of LRES and her broad experience in various accounting roles in the past two decades made her the natural choice for this role," said CEO Roger Beane. peter mattsoN Old Republic Title announced a promotion within its ranks: Peter J. Mattson has moved up to VP of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and manager of corporate marketing and communications for Old Republic Title Insurance Group. Working out of Minneapolis, Mattson is now responsible for managing the strategy, development, and execution of marketing and communications initiatives for the group, making sure all efforts are aligned with the company's goals. matt JeNkiNs Matt Jenkins was appointed EVP of client relations at Pro Teck Valuation Services. Jenkins formerly occupied the role of EVP of operations for the company, a title he assumed in 2009. In moving him to his new role, Pro Teck hopes to use Jenkins' skills to "ensure that [its] growing organization remains customer-centric and focused on exceeding client needs and expectations," according to CEO Tom O'Grady. Jenkins' new title has him building high-level strategic relationships with customers. yvoNNe thompsoN Also at LRES, veteran employee Yvonne Thompson has moved up to the role of VP of human resources. Thompson started at LRES in 2001 as HR and accounting manager. Since then, she's moved up the ladder to director of HR, where she oversaw recruitment, employee compensation and benefits, and company compliance with government regulations. "I look forward to further developing the already dynamic culture at LRES and helping to direct the company's talent toward enhancing LRES service to our valued customers," Thompson said. keviN Cooke Jr Kevin Cooke Jr. has joined LenderLive Network as SVP of business development for the company's loan servicing division. Cooke began his career more than 15 years ago, starting as a trader at Bank of America Specialist, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America. Since then, he's served in a variety of leadership positions at different firms, including working as SVP at Mortgage Outreach Services Group and SVP of sales and business development at AMS Servicing. Most recently, he was managing director at Carrington Investment Services. JeNNifer pressley Stonegate Mortgage Corporation has a new VP of internal audit with the appointment of Jennifer Pressley to the role. Pressley has more than two decades' experience in both external and internal auditing and in financial reporting. In her new role, she is tasked with formulating and executing Stonegate's internal audit plan and long-term financial compliance strategy.
