TH E M R EP O RT | 43 Riham El-Lakany VP-CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, SINGLE- FAMILY DIVISION, FREDDIE MAC In her role at Freddie Mac, Riham El- Lakany is responsible for developing and leading marketing and com- munications strategies for Freddie Mac's Single-Family business. Her primary goals are to engage clients to drive growth, build market share, and achieve business goals while serving Freddie Mac's mission to preserve homeownership across America, help potential homeowners, and facilitate positive industry change. El-Lakany continues to support women industry leaders through advocacy, network- ing, mentoring, and participating in groups such as WIN, the employee resource group focusing on expand- ing opportunities for women at Freddie Mac. She began her career at the Women's Environment & Development Organization, a global women's advocacy organization that promotes and protects human rights and gender equality. "One of the most important things I've learned is that women don't need to change who we are to be successful. Being authentic and focusing on your strengths is key to being a good leader," El-Lakany told MReport. Yvette Gilmore VP, SERVICER RELATIONSHIP AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, SINGLE-FAMILY DIVISION, FREDDIE MAC Yvette Gilmore leads a team that manages the day-to-day relation- ships and performance of all Freddie Mac servicers while also providing oversight of servicing policy, quality assurance, operational risk, and port- folio business management. Her team defines the strategy and creates poli- cies that guide Freddie Mac's efforts to preserve homeownership across America and facilitate positive servic- ing industry change. As the housing crisis has ebbed, Gilmore remains in the forefront of helping distressed borrowers avoid foreclosure by lead- ing the effort to transform Freddie Mac's servicing of its $1.8T portfo- lio. She's a key leader in developing servicing standards to improve the experience for borrowers with their servicers, helping to provide a more consistent and efficient interaction. Additionally, Gilmore serves as the Chair of WIN, an employee resource group that works to provide mentor- ing, development, and networking op- portunities for women at Freddie Mac. Ann Thorn SVP, MORTGAGE AND VEHICLE SERVICING, BANK OF AMERICA Ann Thorn is a top operations executive with over 25 years' experience in the mortgage industry. Thorn currently leads Mortgage and Vehicle Servicing Operations, an organization comprised of more than 4,100 mortgage and vehicle lending professionals in Post Closing, Document Oversight, Servicing Administration, Cash Operations, Investor Asset Management, External Servicing Oversight, Consumer Vehicle Services, Retention Operations, and Liquidation Services. She also serves as a leader for the Military Warriors Support Foundation Advisory Council, the Women Employee Network North Texas Chapter, the Diverse Employee Sponsorship Program, the Women in Technology & Operations Steering Committee, and the Global Ambassadors Program. Prior to her seven years at Bank of America, Thorn spent 20 years at Chase, most recently as First VP of Default Services. Thorn has a bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing, and related support from Marquette University.
