48 | TH E M R EP O RT An MReport Issue Featuring Five Star Conference's Keystone Awards Finalists Marcia Davies COO, MORTGAGE BANKERS ASSOCIATION Marcia Davies is responsible for ensur- ing cross-organizational alignment and facilitating the implementation of strategic initiatives at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). She also provides strategic direction and management of MBA's conferences, membership, public affairs, market- ing, education, IT, and office services divisions. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as Senior Advisor to the Federal Housing Commissioner after spending 21 years at Freddie Mac. Davies founded mPower—an organi- zation that helps women in the real estate finance industry expand their reach. Under her leadership, mPower has grown into an engaged commu- nity of more than 4,000, providing best-in-class conference and webinar programming, networking events, and online opportunities to stay engaged. Through mPower, more women are positioned to achieve leadership posi- tions and are well represented in all segments of the industry. Her dedica- tion, drive, and leadership have inspired many to successfully achieve personal and professional growth. Dana Dillard EVP, CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, MR. COOPER With 25-plus years' experience in the mortgage industry, Dana Dillard has impacted many lives through her mentorship, volunteerism, and championing of women. As a female leader in an evolving industry, she stands out as someone who advo- cates for positive cultural experiences. Dillard recently started the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Mr. Cooper and led the founding and manage- ment of 11 employee resource teams. She also individually mentors count- less female professionals and takes a special interest in providing the resources they need to succeed. She is also a strong advocate for creat- ing more positive, supportive home- owner experiences. Previously, Dillard worked at GMAC RESCAP where she managed the REO, Liquidations, and Community Outreach teams. She has also held senior leadership positions at EMC Mortgage, Bank of America Mortgage, and Lomas Mortgage. From 2008–2010, Dillard lead outreach efforts at HOPENOW, where she traveled across the country talking with hundreds of struggling families. THE LAURIE A. MAGGIANO LEGACY AWARD Named in honor of the late industry icon whose distinguished and accomplished career left an indelible impact on housing, this award recognizes those women who through their tireless efforts, collaboration, and ingenuity have powerfully influenced the industry and homeownership nationwide (minimum 20 years' industry experience).
